Representations

The primary purpose of these summaries is to provide an index of representations submitted, and to facilitate the identification of matters and potential participants in the Examination in Public (EiP). The EiP Panel will work with the full representations made by respondents. However, if you feel that these summaries are not an accurate reflection of your original representation, please send an email to response@eipsoutheast.co.uk stating your name, respondent number and how you would like your summary to be amended. We will then update our website with a list of amendments. Please note that requests can only be processed if they are referring to your own representation.

The summaries have been produced by a number of people and although every effort has been made to achieve a consistent approach to summarising representations due to the number of people working in separate offices this has not always been possible. In addition, whilst every effort has been made to accurately summarise the comments made in the responses, these summaries do not reflect the views of the Panel and are meant to represent the personal views and comments of the respondents. Time constraints have prevented the checking of this list for grammatical, spelling, typing errors and duplicates.

Some responses were too complex to match representations to individual policies. In these cases a summary of the response can be found under the general search field below by typing 'Y' or will be linked to a specific section. When reading summaries relating to a particular policy it is worth noting this and the fact that you should also refer to related policies or sections. In addition, those responses which were identified as referring specifically to the following sections in the Core Document - A Challenges, B Context, C Strategy Options can be found by searching respectively, under A, B or C in the section search field below. The Monitoring Framework is identified by using F in the section search field and the Implementation Plan by using G. Lastly, those responses which were identified as referring to the Sustainability Appraisal can be found by typing 'YSA' into the general search field below.

If a question mark is recorded in the Respondent field following your search it means that the name was not supplied or was illegible.

Multiple responses expressing similar views on certain topics have been identified. These are:

SubjectPolicy
DeepcutWCBV7
Bracknell ForestWCBV3
Lydd Airport - against its inclusion in the PlanEKA4
Lydd Airport - in support its the inclusion in the PlanEKA4
North DoverEKA8
Romney MarshEKA9
Western Corridor (M3 boundary)E6
Wokingham DistrictWCBV3
WyeEKA7

These responses have been given composite response summaries which are there to give a general summary of the main concerns voiced by respondents. The responses have been logged against the relevant policy shown on the table above. For example, a multiple response type comment relating to Romney Marsh will be shown as relating to EKA9. If the search results for any individual respondent do not show specific comments in the comment field on the results page the comments are taken to be included within the composite response for the appropriate subject. The individual responses relating to these topics may include some or all of the comments contained in the composite summary. The responses for and against the inclusion of Lydd Airport are both logged under EKA4 and can be distinguished from each other on the individual search results screen which will show that the respondent either supports or opposes the exclusion of Lydd Airport from the Plan.

Please click here to view one of the 9 composite responses. In addition, there are three key responses where it was felt that being able to view the response in full would be preferable to providing a summary. These are the responses for the Government Office of the South East, Natural England and the Environment Agency. They can be viewed by clicking on the appropriate link below.
